Further to our recent announcement regarding the introduction of a period option for competition licences which will be available from 1st January 2018 (1st January to 31st December or 1st July to 30th June in any given year), the Motorsport Commission have decided to introduce an interim measure for the remainder of the current year to lead into this new system.
With immediate effect intending competitors may purchase a specific single event National licence at a cost of €50. This is designed to assist those competitors who only wish to do one event between now and the end of the current year in categories not currently covered by the existing one day licence. For example, Stage Rallies, Races, Rallycross.
All normal processes will apply in that intending competitors must complete the existing Renewal form, comply with medical, IRDS (if applicable), and club membership requirements. Single event licences will be available for National events, including those running parallel with an International event.
Intending competitors need only state on their application that it is for a named event and enclose the appropriate fee i.e. €50. However, please leave plenty of time to process the application, especially if IRDS is involved.
First-time applicants will continue to apply in accordance with Appendix 1 of the current Yearbook.
